Japan News Review is an online newspaper/news aggregator founded in 2007, based in Sweden. The news stories we publish are either redirects to English-language external articles, or our own material, compiled from Japanese-language media reports.

The external news articles are easily recognized by looking at the main news listings, where the name of the source, written out in capitals and contained by square brackets, appears at the end of each external article’s description. (i.e. [SOURCE NAME]).

Our motto is “The Japanese News, in English” - where many others report nearly exclusively from the perspective of the foreigner, our intention is to present our readers with a well-balanced selection of foreign and domestic news pieces.

We are proud to say that we are often the very first to cover a specific Japan-related topic in English, sometimes a whole day earlier than competing online newspapers.
