Author Mayumi Hattori dies at 58

Author and copperplate engraver Mayumi Hattori died last Thursday in lung cancer, at an age of 58, Japanese media reported Tuesday.

Hattori debuted with the novel “Toki no arabesuku” in 1987 , which won her the Kadokawa prize for best non-fiction the same year.
