Ayumi Hamasaki and TOKIO’s Tomoya Nagase break up

Japanese superstar Ayumi Hamasaki and popular group TOKIO’s lead singer Tomoya Nagase have ended their long-standing relationship, Hochi Sports reported on Friday.

On a part of Ayumi’s official website only viewable to paying members, she wrote “It came suddenly, but I’ve broken up with my boyfriend.“

The two had made their relationship official in September 2001, 5 years and 10 months ago.

The break-up has been confirmed by both artists’ talent agencies.
