Tokyo Game Show 2007 set to break record again

Tokyo Game Show 2007 will be the biggest one yet, Famitsu reports. While last year’s show was recording-breaking with its 148 attending companies, a staggering 162 companies have been signed up for this year’s event. This includes 47 foreign companies from twelve countries.

The show is being held at Chiba prefecture’s Makuhari Messe convention center, which will open its gates on September 20. Unlike previous years, two whole days have been reserved for the industry itself, extending the show into a marvelous 4-day extravaganza.

During the industry days of September 20 and 21, the TGS Forum 2007 conference will also take place. This event will feature keynote speakers and special sessions for online, mobile phone and next generation gaming. Details will be made available on the official Tokyo Game Show 2007 website from July 18.

In addition, the official graphic for the 2007 Tokyo Game Show was made available today. Based on this year’s theme, “Connect and reach out to the world”, it features the silhouettes of people from all over the world gathering to enjoy the show, an official press release

Eager gaming fans not fortunate enough to be working within the industry may access the floor from 10 am on September 22. The entrance fee is set at 1000 yen.
