First Star Ocean soon to appear again on PSP

On December 27, Square-Enix will finally ship their full remake of Super Famicon classic role playing game Star Ocean. The title of the remake will be Star Ocean 1: First Departure, and it will arrive on shelves with a price tag of 5,040 yen. Also available will be an Eternal Edition, which at a price of 24,840 yen will feature both the game and the new version of the PlayStation Portable (a.k.a. PSP-2000), Dengeki Online reports.

Fans of the 1996 original are sure to be pleased as their old favourite returns with brand new graphics, full voice acting, an updated battle system, additions to the original story, as well as brand new characters. The character design is helmed by Square-Enix superstar Tetsuyo Nomura.
