Yuko Takeuchi returns to the big screen in ‘Sidecar ni inu’
Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi (27) greeted the audience Saturday at the premier showing of the Kichitaro Negishi directed movie ”Sidecar ni inu” (”A dog in the sidecar”, English title TBC) in which she plays the female lead, at Cineswitch Ginza in Ginza, Tokyo. The movie is Takeuchi’s first after playing the lead in ”Haru no yuki” in 2005.
Takeuchi, seen taken deep breaths before the press conference, joked: ”Now that I’ve survived the premier it does feel a bit like ‘whatever’”.
When asked of her impression of co-starring Arata Furuta (41), who played her love interest in the movie, she said smilingly: ”I always did want to meet him one day. You can never tell what will happen in your life, so I think this kind of a couple [we are playing in the movie] can be a good thing, don’t you agree?”.
