‘Trivia no Izumi’ narrator Shinji Nakae dies at 72

Voice actor and narrator Nake Shinji, real name Yoshitaka Sato, died Thursday of hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer), Asahi Shimbun reports. He became 72 years old. The funeral service will be held July 2, at in Kokubunji, Tokyo.

Nakae started out with the original Kamen Rider series, and went on to supervise the voice acting on several other shows, but was perhaps was most famous for his humorous voice-over narration for the popular Fuji TV trivia show “Trivia no Izumi” (the fountain of trivia).
