Takashi Sorimachi to play baseball player in new TV-series after 3 year hiatus

Actor Takashi Sorimachi will play the lead role in the Nihon TV-series “Dream Man” (tentative title), to be aired this fall, it was revealed on Tuesday. This will be the first time in three years that Soramachi appears in a TV-series, since the 2004 drama “Hotman 2.“

The series has been characterized as a heart-warming story about how you should never give up your dreams. Soramachi will play a former baseball pro who dies in a sudden accident before he had the chance to realize his dream of making a comeback to professional baseball, but is given a second chance when God allows him to borrow another person’s body.

Sorimachi will play against Ai Kato and Mirai Shida, among others. The TV-series has been given the Saturday 9 p.m time slot, and is scheduled to start in October.
