Ayumi Hamasaki next single ‘talkin’ 2 myself’ to be released September 19

After Ayumi Hamasaki’s previous single “glitter/fated”, which immediately took the number one spot on the Oricon during the first week after its release in June as well as became the 5th best-selling single by a female artist all time, Hamasaki’s record company Avex announced it intends to release Hamasaki’s 42nd single “talkin’ 2 myself” September 19, earlier than previously announced.

The song, which is currently aired on Japanese TV in a Panasonic TV commercial for their digital camera Lumix FX33, is reportedly unusually rocky for Hamasaki.

The cover for the single is yet to be revealed.

  10. It is the best selling Japanese single in Asia. It got enormous sales in China. Can’t wait for a rock tune from queen Hamasaki.

In the PV she got a hair cute really short I heard it was because of the break up with her boyfriend.

  16. By the way Hiroshi and Yuki, the article said “AS WELL AS” as in, “it EVENTUALLY became the 5th best selling single”, not “it was released as the 5th best selling single.” And I’m pretty sure the article is referring to all female solo artists in Japanese music history. She IS the top selling female solo artist and fourth best selling Japanese artist in all of Japanese music history to date, so I’d believe that.

  18. @ Veronica
Not of “ALL TIME”, as they claim. Almost every single she released before glitter/fated sold more. So it’s just not true D:

  20. I like her songs but I don’t like her face! She is so ugly with her short hair. But thats just my opinion though. But she looks like a zombie with so much of make up on her stupid face!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. sometimes i don’t really understand you all…is image really important to you all?i mean, why can’t we listen to the singers’ voices before we judge on how ugly they look…so what she has ten layers of make up on her ’stupid’ face???for me,as long as somebody can sing so well i have no problem with their face at all!sometimes,it’s the quality that matters…same as when we buy a bottle of soda..so what if the soda packaging is amazing?if it’s not tasty then it’s not tasty…there’s nothing you can do about it.and i don’t think she look horrible.
