Deadline passed for registering election candidacy - 377 to run

At 5 PM, Thursday, the deadline for political candidates wishing to participate in the July 29 upcoming election passed, the Sankei Shimbun reported.

A total of 377 people, 57 more than in the previous 2004 election, have been registered.
