Machimura pledges Japan will do utmost to extend antiterrorism law
New Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura pledged Tuesday to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that Japan will do its utmost to extend its antiterrorism law beyond its Nov. 1 expiration, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said.
