Ex-minister to quit ethics panel over scandal

Former Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister Tokuichiro Tamazawa said Wednesday he would resign as chief of the House of Representatives political ethics council to take responsibility for a fraud scandal involving the Liberal Democratic Party’s branch in Iwate Constituency No. 4, which he heads.
