6-mth freeze on medical bills eyed for elderly

The Liberal Democratic Party and New Komeito on Monday entered the final stage of preparations on a plan to exempt people aged 75 or older from paying health insurance premiums for six months and give them a 70 percent reduction for a further six months when they start paying insurance premiums anew in April, sources said Monday.
