Ex-Defense Minister Kyuma too was wined and dined by Yamada Corp.

Former Defense Minister Fumio Kyuma, who retired from the post in September after his famous remark that the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki “couldn’t have been helped,” was wined and dined by the same defense contractor that now stand accused of having had improper dealings with former defense administrative vice minister Takemasa Moriya, it was revealed on Thursday, the Mainichi Shimbun reports.

Kyuma says he knew the former managing director of the contractor, Yamada Corp., since 10 years back and had on several occasions been invited to expensive dinners, which the managing director allegedly paid, according to Mainichi.
