Ozawa resignation seen bonus for gov’t

The sudden announcement by Democratic Party of Japan President Ichiro Ozawa that he intends to resign surprised members of the ruling coalition, many of whom now see an opportunity for Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda’s administration to gain traction on the back of the ongoing confusion.
