Fukuda, Bush hold 1st summit talks to discuss N. Korea, alliance
Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda and U.S. President George W. Bush began their first summit talks Friday in Washington, with Fukuda expected to seek close cooperation in dealing with North Korea and explain Japan’s efforts to resume its refueling mission in the Indian Ocean.
