‘Shiroi Koibito’ back in production

Confectioner Ishiya Co. resumed its production of its popular Hokkaido souvenir sweet Shiroi Koibito, after production was suspended in mid-August when it was revealed the company had made a habit of mis-labeling expiry dates on the sweets.

The cookies are expected to be back on the shelves next Thursday at around 400 Hokkaido prefecture stores, Japanese media reports.
