Okinawa Assembly makes new move against deletion of wartime suicides in textbooks

In an unprecedented move, the Okinawa Prefectural Assembly again unanimously adopted a resolution on Wednesday urging the national government to withdraw its orders to delete textbook descriptions that the Imperial Army forced civilians to commit suicide at the end of World War II.
