Panel OKs increasing classroom hours, making English mandatory

An education ministry panel officially adopted Wednesday a report on its deliberations to revamp school curriculums that would increase classroom hours in primary and lower secondary school for the first time in around 30 years, effectively reversing the ministry’s “education with latitude” policy.
