No. of foreign students in Japan hits 2nd highest level ever

The number of foreign students studying at universities and graduate schools in Japan rose 571, or 0.5 percent, from a year earlier to 118,498 as of May 1, marking the second highest level ever, the Japan Student Services Organization said Friday.
