Gov’t considers easing visa conditions for skilled foreign workers
The government has begun looking into easing conditions on resident visa status for skilled foreign workers such as engineers — but only if their Japanese is fluent enough, unnamed government sources were quoted by a Kyodo News report filed Monday.
The measure under consideration is applicable to foreigners who want to enter Japan to hold specialist or technical jobs, Kyodo News quoted the sources.
